Coen Brothers’ classic The Big Lebowski is a much-loved comedy and one of my favorite films of all time. Despite all that, The Big Lebowski was actually a disappointment at the box office and received mixed reviews at the time of its release. Over time, reviews have become largely positive, and the film has become a cult classic.
Unlike the regular US one-sheet for The Big Lebowski, this “international version” (for the releases outside of the US) features a great image of Jeff Bridges with “the rug” shown in his shades, which is arguably superior to its US counterpart and most desirable to collectors.
This design was used internationally and can be found on the French, Dutch and German posters just to name a few. However, the English version with this image is very scarce and difficult to come by. For some reason, it rarely shows up on the market, maybe it’s because this poster really ties the owner’s room together!
